Floral Moon Cosplay is a master-level, award-winning cosplayer and sewing educator from Kansas. Andy has been sewing for almost twenty years and learned from their mom and grandmother. Andy has also taken fashion design classes at Johnson County Community College and theater design courses at the University of Kansas.

 

Andy’s first job in high school was at a small family-owned jewelry store. While there, they learned jewelry-making techniques, which are incorporated into many cosplay designs. Andy also spent time as a floral designer creating arrangements, including flower crowns, boutonnieres, and bouquets for large wedding and event installations. After working as a florist, Andy worked at a sewing machine repair and sales shop. Through their coworkers' expertise, Floral Moon Cosplay expanded their machine knowledge and techniques on household, embroidery, sergers, coverstitch, and industrial machines.

 

Floral Moon Cosplay’s first anime convention was in 2011! Sharing this hobby with others and helping the cosplay community grow has been an enriching experience. Floral Moon Cosplay has had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people who have been inspiring and hopes to do the same for others.
